DETAILS: Rich ruby with layers of ripe forest berry and spice aromas. A gentle smooth entry with delicious ripe berry fruit flavours well married with vanilla oak notes and a smooth juicy finish. An honest red wine that is ready to drink now or within a year or two. Don't wait too long. Grapes are fermented on the skins for seven days at 28°C with three aerations per day. After pressing, the young wine is put on French oak staves where malolactic fermentation is completed. The wine is left on the staves for a further 3 months. A very light filtration before bottling ensures the conservation of intrinsic cultivar traits.
