Cape tawny dessert wine
This is a wine served chilled as an aperitif – as they do in France – and is a perfect partner to a slice of well matured Cheddar or some snappy black Belgian chocolate.The wine is a deep amber with all the Christmassy aromas of sugar cured oranges, poached sun dried fruits and toasted hazelnuts. The flavours follow through in waves of the fruit, almond paste and creamy caramelised sugar.
